Welcome
to New Buxton's webpage. New Buxton is a modern image layout
thats based somewhere in the UK. I'm not going to base the
layout on anywhere in particular, as I have a range of
rolling stock that is seen in many areas of the UK. As there
is no third rail the south east of england is not included.
I would like to include overhead catenery on the layout,
although this is not for certain. The layout depicts a small
terminus station with hints of Buxton station in the
midlands, a diesel refuelling point, & a distribution
warehouse for block trains, and various other types of
wagons. The exact use for the warehouse is still to be
confirmed. I guess one good thing about modern railways, you
cannot always tell the railways location at a glance untill
you see the rolling stock in use, as signal types and
station signs seem to be a standard type, unlike in the
steam era. So the layout could be based anywhere, and
rolling stock, catenery (if installed) will be the only
subjects limiting the area to be chosen excluding the
southern regions.
